About Me
Hi! My name is Marissa Brownfield and I am the Speech and Language Therapist for Tierra Linda Elementary School.
I grew up in Carpinteria and did my undergraduate work at CSU Channel Islands. I went onto UCSB for my teaching credential and M.Ed. I finished my graduate work at San Francisco State University with an M.S. in Communicative Disorders. I worked for a different school district before coming to PVSD in 2013. I have enjoyed my time at Tierra Linda and I am excited to be back. I also help with the Junior Optimist Club (JOOI).

The Speech Room
The speech room is a safe place where students work on their articulation and language. Many students need extra support for sounds that they have difficulty producing, language comprehension, and language expression.
